The Queen of Sassy SaucesSusan McCormick is the brains (and often the brawn) behind Rose City Pepperheads. Her days are spent getting produce from local farmers, making jelly in the kitchen and selling at farmers markets and shows.
Susan is the recipient of multiple Scovie Awards for her Pepper Jellies. The Scovie awards are the most competitive fiery food awards. Named after the Scoville Scale - a measurement of the spicy heat of a chili pepper - the Scovie Awards are a coveted award for all spicy sauce makers. |
