Baked Brie Tart with Berry-Jam Glaze

Ingredients:

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 wheel of brie cheese (about 8 oz)
  • 1/4 cup Jack's Blackberry Pepper Jelly (or your favorite jam!)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Fresh thyme or rosemary (optional, for garnish)
  • Honey (optional, for drizzling)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry onto the prepared baking sheet. If needed, trim it to fit your pan or shape it into a circle or square.
  3. Place the brie in the center of the pastry. Make sure to leave a little border around the edges so you can fold it up over the cheese.
  4. Spread the Jam generously over the top of the brie wheel. This sweet, smoky glaze will bring the heat and flavor!
  5. Fold the pastry edges up and over the brie, crimping the corners gently to secure the cheese inside, leaving the top exposed so the jam can shine.
  6. Brush the pastry with an egg wash (simply beat the egg and lightly brush it over the dough for a golden finish).
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the puff pastry is golden brown and flaky, and the brie is gooey and melted inside.
  8. Garnish with fresh thyme or rosemary for a pop of color and an aromatic touch. Drizzle with a little honey if you want to balance out the heat with a touch of sweetness.
  9. Serve warm with crackers, crusty bread, or apple slices.

Optional Serving Idea:

This tart is amazing as an appetizer, but you could also turn it into a show-stopping dessert by serving it with a side of fresh fruit. The combination of creamy brie, smoky-sweet jam, and flaky pastry is absolutely irresistible!
